I was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1967 and lived there until I graduated in Mechanical Engineering from University College Dublin in 1989.

I then moved to Turin, Italy to work in the aerospace industry as a designer and structural analyst of manned space vehicles. In 1995, I decided to move to the automotive industry and spent the next few years working on the electrical systems of the 1999 Fiat Punto.

When that project ended, I was approached by a small company that needed a Unix Systems Administrator to build and run their network. In 2001, I started using Altiris Deployment Server to distribute CAD packages and this eventually led to my involvement in the Blue Willow Group in 2005. I now work as an independent consultant with clients in both Europe and America.
